Race day is always a fantastic spectacle starting with a long line of vessels majestically sailing on parade around the headland at Pendennis Castle. It is from that vantage point that the best overall land based views can be had of the ships progress after leaving Falmouth Docks into Carrick Roads on their way to Falmouth Bay and ultimately to the race start position off Rosemullion Head a little further down the coast.

Binoculars or a camera with a long telephoto lens is essential if you wish to see or capture close up views of the vessels.
